Dutch carpenter and furniture designer, Ate van Apeldoorn (1932-2007), studied at Arnhem Academy of Fine Arts in The Netherlands. He created a number of modernist designs in a more robust style than typical mid-century pieces. This set of four dining chairs in solid pinewood with low backs and angular cubist features. Newer wool upholstery that is repeated for the sling seat. Beautiful tooth joint detail.

Set of four.
